Arrival:

School hours are 9:05am-3:25pm. Students in Grades 1-5 may report to the school yard no earlier than 8:45am. Students will enter the building at the main entrance by the school office. Students may order a hot lunch in the cafeteria and then proceed directly outside to the playground. Teachers will meet their classes on the blacktop and enter the building at 8:55am. Students lead the Pledge of Allegiance, Rockwell Respect Pledge and other morning announcements at 9:05am. Teacher instruction begins promptly at 9:10am. Kindergarten students will meet in the fenced in area at the front of the building to be met by their teachers.

Dismissal:

Students taking the bus will be called for dismissal by bus number to line up in the corridor along the front of the school. Students will be assisted to safely board the bus by school personnel. Students who are being picked up by car will be caled down to the main office entrance by grade level. Parents can drive up to the circle as space permits. Parents and/or guardians must come to the canopy and meet their students to escort them to their vehicle. For safety reasons, students will not be sent alone to cross traffic or enter cars.

If you wish to change the way your child is getting home on any given day, a written note should accompany your child to school to give to his or her teacher. Students may not be given permission to take busses that they are not otherwise assigned to ride.
