Welcome to the Bristol Warren Regional School District.  Our vision, mission and goals have a singular and sustained focus-- student learning.  We are committed to ensuring that all students achieve at the high levels needed to prepare them to lead fulfilling and productive lives, to succeed in academic and employment settings, and to make a positive contribution to society.  To accomplish the delivery of a sound, high-quality education to every student, we must ensure that policies, programs, and systems are connected and directed toward the common purpose of improving achievement for all students.

 In the 2009-2010 academic year, the Bristol Warren School Community joined together and developed the 2010-2015 Bristol Warren Regional School District Strategic Plan.  The framework of this plan is built on four goals:

 · I - Support and engage all students to reach increasingly higher levels of academic proficiency, strengthening their pathway to graduation and post secondary goals.

· II - Engage teachers in meaningful collaboration and reflection on best practices in order to improve student achievement in their schools.

· III - Engage students in educational opportunities that complement their Bristol Warren school experience and prepare them for post secondary education and careers.

· IV - Expand parent and community involvement in our schools.

 Our goals are simple and direct and we have developed specific objectives and targeted action steps to accomplish them.  These may be viewed through the link to the BWRSD Strategic Plan    .

 On a personal note, I share with you that I am committed to ensuring that multiple measures of academic progress are considered in measuring student achievement.  We must be mindful of the growth of the whole child and we must be willing to support this philosophy through implementing fiscally responsible systems and organizational structures.

Bristol Warren has made tremendous gains in most recent years.  All of our schools are High Performing, our graduation rate has increased by approximately 12% in two years, our classrooms have been visited by educators across the state who marvel at the effectiveness of our laboratory classroom model  , we host the site-based Math Intervention Program for the East Bay Educational Collaborative.  These examples are a sampling of our success. 

Bristol Warren Regional School District is a district on the rise.  It is imperative that we unite as a district and community to provide the resources and supports that are necessary to continue our unprecedented growth, anchored in the philosophy of continuous improvement for all children.
